ALFRED KIM GUGGENHEIM is a Phi Beta
Kappa graduate of Harvard Law School
(Cum Laude) and Pomona College (Magna Cum Laude). Mr. Guggenheim has over 25 year of experience in the entertainment
and music industries, and counts among his clients multi-platinum recording
artists, producers, songwriters, publishing companies, film and television
composers, independent record labels, corporate clients and celebrity
estates. Mr. Guggenheim's fields of practice include: domestic and international
record production; licensing and distribution; domestic music publishing
and administration; international music sub-publishing, licensing and
administration; Internet, digital and web site matters; industry executive
employment agreements; audio-visual production, distribution and licensing;
merchandising and product/service endorsements; photography and model agreements; personal management
and agency matters; book publishing; television and motion picture composing
and licensing; and master and publishing licensing for commercial advertising.
Mr. Guggenheim is a contributing author to ATTN: A & R, published
by Alfred Publishing Inc., The Encyclopedia of the Music Business, published
by Harper & Row, and is the author of articles which have appeared
in Songwriter, Variety, and Billboard magazines. Mr. Guggenheim has
provided entertainment industry interviews to the "CBS-TV Evening
News with Dan Rather", The Wall St. Journal Radio Network, Rolling
Stone magazine, CNN, Newsweek, The Denver Post and USA Today. He is
a frequent speaker at music industry events, including as a panelist
on Variety Magazine's 2010 "Internet File Sharing & Industry Responses". Mr. Guggenheim is a past
President of the California Copyright Conference, was on the Board of
Directors of the Association of Independent Music Publishers and is
a member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, as
well as the Beverly Hills, Los Angeles County, California State and
American Bar Associations. He has been a guest lecturer at USC Law School,
Pepperdine Law School, EAT'M Conferences (Las Vegas) and at numerous
UCLA extension courses. Mr. Guggenheim has also served as an expert
witness in litigation matters.
