Sidney A. Hamburg is a founding partner of Hamburg, Karic, Edwards & Martin LLP, having started the firm with Barry Edwards and Gregg Martin in 1995. Immediately before that, Sid was of counsel to a mid-size real estate and business litigation boutique firm in Century City.  Prior to that, Sid was general counsel to a real estate investment firm located in Century City where he was involved in the acquisition, management, leasing, financing and disposition of shopping centers, office buildings, industrial properties and apartment complexes. In fact, more than 40 years later, Sid continues to represent that same real estate investment firm.

Sid takes great pride in having represented many of his clients for decades which demonstrates his ability to communicate well with his clients to understand their goals and objectives and then achieve results in a timely, cost-effective way. He believes there is no higher accolade a lawyer can receive than the gratitude and loyalty of his clients.

Sid was admitted to the California Bar in 1977, U.S. District Court, Central District of California in 1978 and U.S. Court of Appeals, 9th Circuit in 1978. He attended the University of California at Los Angeles and received his J.D. in 1977 at the University of San Fernando Valley College of Law where he was a member of the Law Review Editorial Staff. He is a licensed California real estate broker and has served as a state court receiver and federal court special master in connection with the management of real estate and the operation and dissolution of business ventures. Sid’s practice is primarily in the field of real estate and business transactions

When not working, Sid enjoys time with his family, friends and traveling.
